The years leading up to Good Old Printing…
1974 – Neville Mains, the brain child behind the Good Old Printing name, had just started studying a five year course in printing at the Peninisula Technikon, now know as The Cape Peninsula University of Technology(CPUT). 1980 – Neville began his apprenticeship where he gained valued experience in estimation and the printing production process. Neville decided to further his studies and enrolled in a Purchase Management course via Damelin. In the years that followed Neville worked at three different printing companies in Cape Town. 1985 – Neville eventually settled down when he got a position at Goodhope Press where he stayed on for 15 years. 1990 – Goodhope Press was sold to the national company INTERPAK, and Neville decided to move on and direct his attention to providing a service to a specific client group who where previously neglected by the bigger corporations. 1992 – Good Old printing was first conceived. Neville had established a 50/50 partnership and with the combined experience of himself and his partner they had a total of 58 years between the two and thus embarked on the name – Good Old Printing. The key factors to the Good Old Printing name being good quality and a lot of experience. 2003 - Neville purchased his partners shares and became sole owner of the business 2009 - Today there is a combined print experience of over 300 years thanks to our skilled and dedicated 30 staff members. |
